1Issachar's sons: Tola, Puah, Jashub, and Shimron--four. 1Now the sons of Issachar were four: Tola, Puah, Jashub and Shimron.
2Tola's sons: Uzzi, Rephaiah, Jeriel, Jahmai, Ibsam, and Shemuel, the heads of their ancestral houses. During David's reign, 22,600 descendants of Tola were recorded as warriors in their genealogies. 2The sons of Tola were Uzzi, Rephaiah, Jeriel, Jahmai, Ibsam and Samuel, heads of their fathers' households. The sons of Tola were mighty men of valor in their generations; their number in the days of David was 22,600.
3Uzzi's son: Izrahiah. Izrahiah's sons: Michael, Obadiah, Joel, Isshiah. All five of them were chiefs. 3The son of Uzzi was Izrahiah. And the sons of Izrahiah were Michael, Obadiah, Joel, Isshiah; all five of them were chief men.
4Along with them, they had 36,000 troops for battle according to the genealogical records of their ancestral houses, for they had many wives and children. 4With them by their generations according to their fathers' households were 36,000 troops of the army for war, for they had many wives and sons.
5Their tribesmen who were warriors belonging to all the families of Issachar totaled 87,000 in their genealogies. 5Their relatives among all the families of Issachar were mighty men of valor, enrolled by genealogy, in all 87,000.
6Three of Benjamin's sons: Bela, Becher, and Jediael. 6The sons of Benjamin were three: Bela and Becher and Jediael.
7Bela's sons: Ezbon, Uzzi, Uzziel, Jerimoth, and Iri--five. They were warriors and heads of their ancestral houses; 22,034 were listed in their genealogies. 7The sons of Bela were five: Ezbon, Uzzi, Uzziel, Jerimoth and Iri. They were heads of fathers' households, mighty men of valor, and were 22,034 enrolled by genealogy.
8Becher's sons: Zemirah, Joash, Eliezer, Elioenai, Omri, Jeremoth, Abijah, Anathoth, and Alemeth; all these were Becher's sons. 8The sons of Becher were Zemirah, Joash, Eliezer, Elioenai, Omri, Jeremoth, Abijah, Anathoth and Alemeth. All these were the sons of Becher.
9Their genealogies were recorded according to the heads of their ancestral houses--20,200 warriors. 9They were enrolled by genealogy, according to their generations, heads of their fathers' households, 20,200 mighty men of valor.
10Jediael's son: Bilhan. Bilhan's sons: Jeush, Benjamin, Ehud, Chenaanah, Zethan, Tarshish, and Ahishahar. 10The son of Jediael was Bilhan. And the sons of Bilhan were Jeush, Benjamin, Ehud, Chenaanah, Zethan, Tarshish and Ahishahar.
11All these sons of Jediael listed by heads of families were warriors; there were 17,200 who could serve in the army. 11All these were sons of Jediael, according to the heads of their fathers' households, 17,200 mighty men of valor, who were ready to go out with the army to war.
12Shuppim and Huppim were sons of Ir, and the Hushim were the sons of Aher. 12Shuppim and Huppim were the sons of Ir; Hushim was the son of Aher.
13Naphtali's sons: Jahziel, Guni, Jezer, and Shallum--Bilhah's sons. 13The sons of Naphtali were Jahziel, Guni, Jezer, and Shallum, the sons of Bilhah.
14Manasseh's sons through his Aramean concubine: Asriel and Machir the father of Gilead. 14The sons of Manasseh were Asriel, whom his Aramean concubine bore; she bore Machir the father of Gilead.
15Machir took wives from Huppim and Shuppim. The name of his sister was Maacah. Another descendant was named Zelophehad, but he had only daughters. 15Machir took a wife for Huppim and Shuppim, whose sister's name was Maacah. And the name of the second was Zelophehad, and Zelophehad had daughters.
16Machir's wife Maacah gave birth to a son, and she named him Peresh. His brother was named Sheresh, and his sons were Ulam and Rekem. 16Maacah the wife of Machir bore a son, and she named him Peresh; and the name of his brother was Sheresh, and his sons were Ulam and Rakem.
17Ulam's son: Bedan. These were the sons of Gilead son of Machir, son of Manasseh. 17The son of Ulam was Bedan. These were the sons of Gilead the son of Machir, the son of Manasseh.
18His sister Hammolecheth gave birth to Ishhod, Abiezer, and Mahlah. 18His sister Hammolecheth bore Ishhod and Abiezer and Mahlah.
19Shemida's sons: Ahian, Shechem, Likhi, and Aniam. 19The sons of Shemida were Ahian and Shechem and Likhi and Aniam.
20Ephraim's sons: Shuthelah, and his son Bered, his son Tahath, his son Eleadah, his son Tahath, 20The sons of Ephraim were Shuthelah and Bered his son, Tahath his son, Eleadah his son, Tahath his son,
21his son Zabad, his son Shuthelah, also Ezer, and Elead. The men of Gath, born in the land, killed them because they went down to raid their cattle. 21Zabad his son, Shuthelah his son, and Ezer and Elead whom the men of Gath who were born in the land killed, because they came down to take their livestock.
22Their father Ephraim mourned a long time, and his relatives came to comfort him. 22Their father Ephraim mourned many days, and his relatives came to comfort him.
23He slept with his wife, and she conceived and gave birth to a son. So he named him Beriah, because there had been misfortune in his home.23Then he went in to his wife, and she conceived and bore a son, and he named him Beriah, because misfortune had come upon his house.
24His daughter was Sheerah, who built Lower and Upper Beth-horon and Uzzen-sheerah, 24His daughter was Sheerah, who built lower and upper Beth-horon, also Uzzen-sheerah.
25his son Rephah, his son Resheph, his son Telah, his son Tahan, 25Rephah was his son along with Resheph, Telah his son, Tahan his son,

27his son Nun, and his son Joshua. 27Non his son and Joshua his son.
28Their holdings and settlements were Bethel and its villages; Naaran to the east, Gezer and its villages to the west, and Shechem and its villages as far as Ayyah and its villages, 28Their possessions and settlements were Bethel with its towns, and to the east Naaran, and to the west Gezer with its towns, and Shechem with its towns as far as Ayyah with its towns,
29and along the borders of the sons of Manasseh, Beth-shean and its villages, Taanach and its villages, Megiddo and its villages, and Dor and its villages. The sons of Joseph son of Israel lived in these towns. 29and along the borders of the sons of Manasseh, Beth-shean with its towns, Taanach with its towns, Megiddo with its towns, Dor with its towns. In these lived the sons of Joseph the son of Israel.
30Asher's sons: Imnah, Ishvah, Ishvi, and Beriah, with their sister Serah. 30The sons of Asher were Imnah, Ishvah, Ishvi and Beriah, and Serah their sister.
31Beriah's sons: Heber, and Malchiel, who fathered Birzaith. 31The sons of Beriah were Heber and Malchiel, who was the father of Birzaith.
32Heber fathered Japhlet, Shomer, and Hotham, with their sister Shua. 32Heber became the father of Japhlet, Shomer and Hotham, and Shua their sister.
33Japhlet's sons: Pasach, Bimhal, and Ashvath. These were Japhlet's sons. 33The sons of Japhlet were Pasach, Bimhal and Ashvath. These were the sons of Japhlet.
34Shemer's sons: Ahi, Rohgah, Hubbah, and Aram. 34The sons of Shemer were Ahi and Rohgah, Jehubbah and Aram.
35His brother Helem's sons: Zophah, Imna, Shelesh, and Amal. 35The sons of his brother Helem were Zophah, Imna, Shelesh and Amal.
36Zophah's sons: Suah, Harnepher, Shual, Beri, Imrah, 36The sons of Zophah were Suah, Harnepher, Shual, Beri and Imrah,
37Bezer, Hod, Shamma, Shilshah, Ithran, and Beera. 37Bezer, Hod, Shamma, Shilshah, Ithran and Beera.
38Jether's sons: Jephunneh, Pispa, and Ara. 38The sons of Jether were Jephunneh, Pispa and Ara.
39Ulla's sons: Arah, Hanniel, and Rizia. 39The sons of Ulla were Arah, Hanniel and Rizia.
40All these were Asher's sons. They were the heads of their ancestral houses, chosen men, warriors, and chiefs among the leaders. The number of men listed in their genealogies for military service was 26,000. 40All these were the sons of Asher, heads of the fathers' houses, choice and mighty men of valor, heads of the princes. And the number of them enrolled by genealogy for service in war was 26,000 men.
