1Benjamin fathered Bela his firstborn, Ashbel the second, Aharah the third,1Benjamin’s first son was Bela, the second was Ashbel, the third was Aharah,
2Nohah the fourth, and Rapha the fifth.2the fourth was Nohah, and the fifth was Rapha.
3And Bela had sons: Addar, Gera, Abihud,3The sons of Bela were Addar, Gera, Abihud,
4Abishua, Naaman, Ahoah,4Abishua, Naaman, Ahoah,
5Gera, Shephuphan, and Huram.5Gera, Shephuphan, and Huram.
6These are the sons of Ehud (they were heads of fathers’ houses of the inhabitants of Geba, and they were carried into exile to Manahath):6The sons of Ehud, leaders of the clans living at Geba, were exiled to Manahath.
7Naaman, Ahijah, and Gera, that is, Heglam, who fathered Uzza and Ahihud.7Ehud’s sons were Naaman, Ahijah, and Gera. Gera, who led them into exile, was the father of Uzza and Ahihud.
8And Shaharaim fathered sons in the country of Moab after he had sent away Hushim and Baara his wives.8After Shaharaim divorced his wives Hushim and Baara, he had children in the land of Moab.
9He fathered sons by Hodesh his wife: Jobab, Zibia, Mesha, Malcam,9His wife Hodesh gave birth to Jobab, Zibia, Mesha, Malcam,
10Jeuz, Sachia, and Mirmah. These were his sons, heads of fathers’ houses.10Jeuz, Sakia, and Mirmah. These sons all became the leaders of clans.
11He also fathered sons by Hushim: Abitub and Elpaal.11Shaharaim’s wife Hushim had already given birth to Abitub and Elpaal.
12The sons of Elpaal: Eber, Misham, and Shemed, who built Ono and Lod with its towns,12The sons of Elpaal were Eber, Misham, Shemed (who built the towns of Ono and Lod and their nearby villages),
13and Beriah and Shema (they were heads of fathers’ houses of the inhabitants of Aijalon, who caused the inhabitants of Gath to flee);13Beriah, and Shema. They were the leaders of the clans living in Aijalon, and they drove out the inhabitants of Gath.
14and Ahio, Shashak, and Jeremoth.14Ahio, Shashak, Jeremoth,
15Zebadiah, Arad, Eder,15Zebadiah, Arad, Eder,
16Michael, Ishpah, and Joha were sons of Beriah.16Michael, Ishpah, and Joha were the sons of Beriah.

30His firstborn son: Abdon, then Zur, Kish, Baal, Nadab,30and his oldest son was named Abdon. Jeiel’s other sons were Zur, Kish, Baal, Ner, Nadab,
31Gedor, Ahio, Zecher,31Gedor, Ahio, Zechariah,
32and Mikloth (he fathered Shimeah). Now these also lived opposite their kinsmen in Jerusalem, with their kinsmen.32and Mikloth, who was the father of Shimeam. All these families lived near each other in Jerusalem.
33Ner was the father of Kish, Kish of Saul, Saul of Jonathan, Malchi-shua, Abinadab and Eshbaal;33Ner was the father of Kish. Kish was the father of Saul. Saul was the father of Jonathan, Malkishua, Abinadab, and Esh-baal.
34and the son of Jonathan was Merib-baal; and Merib-baal was the father of Micah.34Jonathan was the father of Merib-baal. Merib-baal was the father of Micah.
35The sons of Micah: Pithon, Melech, Tarea, and Ahaz.35Micah was the father of Pithon, Melech, Tahrea, and Ahaz.
36Ahaz fathered Jehoaddah, and Jehoaddah fathered Alemeth, Azmaveth, and Zimri. Zimri fathered Moza.36Ahaz was the father of Jadah. Jadah was the father of Alemeth, Azmaveth, and Zimri. Zimri was the father of Moza.
37Moza fathered Binea; Raphah was his son, Eleasah his son, Azel his son.37Moza was the father of Binea. Binea was the father of Rephaiah. Rephaiah was the father of Eleasah. Eleasah was the father of Azel.
38Azel had six sons, and these are their names: Azrikam, Bocheru, Ishmael, Sheariah, Obadiah, and Hanan. All these were the sons of Azel.38Azel had six sons: Azrikam, Bokeru, Ishmael, Sheariah, Obadiah, and Hanan. These were the sons of Azel.
39The sons of Eshek his brother: Ulam his firstborn, Jeush the second, and Eliphelet the third.39Azel’s brother Eshek had three sons: the first was Ulam, the second was Jeush, and the third was Eliphelet.
40The sons of Ulam were men who were mighty warriors, bowmen, having many sons and grandsons, 150. All these were Benjaminites.40Ulam’s sons were all mighty warriors and expert archers. They had many sons and grandsons—150 in all. All these were descendants of Benjamin.
