Psalm 13
ESV Parallel NET [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
English Standard VersionNET Bible
1How long, O LORD? Will you forget me forever? How long will you hide your face from me?1For the music director; a psalm of David. How long, LORD, will you continue to ignore me? How long will you pay no attention to me?
2How long must I take counsel in my soul and have sorrow in my heart all the day? How long shall my enemy be exalted over me?2How long must I worry, and suffer in broad daylight? How long will my enemy gloat over me?
3Consider and answer me, O LORD my God; light up my eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death,3Look at me! Answer me, O LORD my God! Revive me, or else I will die!
4lest my enemy say, “I have prevailed over him,” lest my foes rejoice because I am shaken.4Then my enemy will say, "I have defeated him!" Then my foes will rejoice because I am upended.
5But I have trusted in your steadfast love; my heart shall rejoice in your salvation.5But I trust in your faithfulness. May I rejoice because of your deliverance!
6I will sing to the LORD, because he has dealt bountifully with me.6I will sing praises to the LORD when he vindicates me.
