Give justice to the weak and the fatherless; maintain the right of the afflicted and the destitute.3Defend the cause of the weak and fatherless; uphold the rights of the afflicted and oppressed.
Rescue the weak and the needy; deliver them from the hand of the wicked.”4Rescue the weak and needy; save them from the hand of the wicked.
They have neither knowledge nor understanding, they walk about in darkness; all the foundations of the earth are shaken.5They do not know or understand; they wander in the darkness; all the foundations of the earth are shaken.
I said, “You are gods, sons of the Most High, all of you;6I have said, ‘You are gods; you are all sons of the Most High.’
nevertheless, like men you shall die, and fall like any prince.”7But like mortals you will die, and like rulers you will fall.”
Arise, O God, judge the earth; for you shall inherit all the nations!8Arise, O God, judge the earth, for all the nations are Your inheritance.
