Come, let us shout joyfully to the LORD, shout triumphantly to the rock of our salvation! | 1O come, let us sing unto the LORD: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation. |
Let us enter his presence with thanksgiving; let us shout triumphantly to him in song. | 2Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms. |
For the LORD is a great God, a great King above all gods. | 3For the LORD is a great God, and a great King above all gods. |
The depths of the earth are in his hand, and the mountain peaks are his. | 4In his hand are the deep places of the earth: the strength of the hills is his also. |
The sea is his; he made it. His hands formed the dry land. | 5The sea is his, and he made it: and his hands formed the dry land. |
Come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the LORD our Maker. | 6O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the LORD our maker. |
For he is our God, and we are the people of his pasture, the sheep under his care. Today, if you hear his voice: | 7For he is our God; and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand. To day if ye will hear his voice, |
Do not harden your hearts as at Meribah, as on that day at Massah in the wilderness | 8Harden not your heart, as in the provocation, and as in the day of temptation in the wilderness: |
where your fathers tested me; they tried me, though they had seen what I did. | 9When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my work. |
For forty years I was disgusted with that generation; I said, "They are a people whose hearts go astray; they do not know my ways." | 10Forty years long was I grieved with this generation, and said, It is a people that do err in their heart, and they have not known my ways: |
So I swore in my anger, "They will not enter my rest." | 11Unto whom I sware in my wrath that they should not enter into my rest. |
