Or il arriva trois jours après, que Paul convoqua les principaux des Juifs; et quand ils furent venus, il leur dit : hommes frères! quoique je n'aie rien commis contre le peuple ni contre les coutumes des Pères, toutefois j'ai été arrêté prisonnier à Jérusalem, et livré entre les mains des Romains,

Es geschah aber drei Tage darauf, daß er die Häupter der Judenschaft zusammenrufen ließ, und da sie sich versammelt hatten, sagte er zu ihnen: ihr Männer und Brüder, ich habe nichts wider das Volk und die angestammten Sitten gethan, und bin doch von Jerusalem her als Gefangener in die Hand der Römer ausgeliefert worden.
