She gives no thought to the way of life; her paths wander aimlessly, but she does not know it.6she does not ponder the path of life; her ways wander, and she does not know it.6She does not ponder the path of life; Her ways are unstable, she does not know it.6Lest thou shouldest ponder the path of life, her ways are moveable, that thou canst not know them.6She doesn't consider the path of life; she doesn't know that her ways are unstable.
Now then, my sons, listen to me; do not turn aside from what I say.7And now, O sons, listen to me, and do not depart from the words of my mouth.7Now then, my sons, listen to me And do not depart from the words of my mouth.7Hear me now therefore, O ye children, and depart not from the words of my mouth.7So now, my sons, listen to me, and don't turn away from the words of my mouth.
Keep to a path far from her, do not go near the door of her house,8Keep your way far from her, and do not go near the door of her house,8Keep your way far from her And do not go near the door of her house,8Remove thy way far from her, and come not nigh the door of her house:8Keep your way far from her. Don't go near the door of her house.
lest you lose your honor to others and your dignity to one who is cruel,9lest you give your honor to others and your years to the merciless,9Or you will give your vigor to others And your years to the cruel one;9Lest thou give thine honour unto others, and thy years unto the cruel:9Otherwise, you will give up your vitality to others and your years to someone cruel;

lest strangers feast on your wealth and your toil enrich the house of another.10lest strangers take their fill of your strength, and your labors go to the house of a foreigner,10And strangers will be filled with your strength And your hard-earned goods will go to the house of an alien;10Lest strangers be filled with thy wealth; and thy labours be in the house of a stranger;10strangers will drain your resources, and your earnings will end up in a foreigner's house.
At the end of your life you will groan, when your flesh and body are spent.11and at the end of your life you groan, when your flesh and body are consumed,11And you groan at your final end, When your flesh and your body are consumed;11And thou mourn at the last, when thy flesh and thy body are consumed,11At the end of your life, you will lament when your physical body has been consumed,
You will say, "How I hated discipline! How my heart spurned correction!12and you say, “How I hated discipline, and my heart despised reproof!12And you say, "How I have hated instruction! And my heart spurned reproof!12And say, How have I hated instruction, and my heart despised reproof;12and you will say, "How I hated discipline, and how my heart despised correction.
I would not obey my teachers or turn my ear to my instructors.13I did not listen to the voice of my teachers or incline my ear to my instructors.13"I have not listened to the voice of my teachers, Nor inclined my ear to my instructors!13And have not obeyed the voice of my teachers, nor inclined mine ear to them that instructed me!13I didn't obey my teachers or listen closely to my mentors.
And I was soon in serious trouble in the assembly of God's people."14I am at the brink of utter ruin in the assembled congregation.”14"I was almost in utter ruin In the midst of the assembly and congregation."14I was almost in all evil in the midst of the congregation and assembly.14I am on the verge of complete ruin before the entire community."

Should your springs overflow in the streets, your streams of water in the public squares?16Should your springs be scattered abroad, streams of water in the streets?16Should your springs be dispersed abroad, Streams of water in the streets?16Let thy fountains be dispersed abroad, and rivers of waters in the streets.16Should your springs flow in the streets, streams of water in the public squares?
Let them be yours alone, never to be shared with strangers.17Let them be for yourself alone, and not for strangers with you.17Let them be yours alone And not for strangers with you.17Let them be only thine own, and not strangers' with thee.17They should be for you alone and not for you to share with strangers.
May your fountain be blessed, and may you rejoice in the wife of your youth.18Let your fountain be blessed, and rejoice in the wife of your youth,18Let your fountain be blessed, And rejoice in the wife of your youth.18Let thy fountain be blessed: and rejoice with the wife of thy youth.18Let your fountain be blessed, and take pleasure in the wife of your youth.

Why, my son, be intoxicated with another man's wife? Why embrace the bosom of a wayward woman?20Why should you be intoxicated, my son, with a forbidden woman and embrace the bosom of an adulteress?20For why should you, my son, be exhilarated with an adulteress And embrace the bosom of a foreigner?20And why wilt thou, my son, be ravished with a strange woman, and embrace the bosom of a stranger?20Why, my son, would you be infatuated with a forbidden woman or embrace the breast of a stranger?
For your ways are in full view of the LORD, and he examines all your paths.21For a man’s ways are before the eyes of the LORD, and he ponders all his paths.21For the ways of a man are before the eyes of the LORD, And He watches all his paths.21For the ways of man are before the eyes of the LORD, and he pondereth all his goings.21For a man's ways are before the LORD's eyes, and He considers all his paths.
The evil deeds of the wicked ensnare them; the cords of their sins hold them fast.22The iniquities of the wicked ensnare him, and he is held fast in the cords of his sin.22His own iniquities will capture the wicked, And he will be held with the cords of his sin.22His own iniquities shall take the wicked himself, and he shall be holden with the cords of his sins.22A wicked man's iniquities entrap him; he is entangled in the ropes of his own sin.
For lack of discipline they will die, led astray by their own great folly.23He dies for lack of discipline, and because of his great folly he is led astray.23He will die for lack of instruction, And in the greatness of his folly he will go astray.23He shall die without instruction; and in the greatness of his folly he shall go astray.23He will die because there is no discipline, and be lost because of his great stupidity.
