Psalm 19

To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David.

1The heavens declare the glory of God; and the skies proclaim His handiwork. 2Day after day they speak to us, and night after night they reveal knowledge. 3They speak without words; yet nowhere is their voice not heard. 4Their message goes throughout all the earth, and their voice to the end of the world. In the heavens He has established a home for the sun, 5It bursts out like a bridegroom coming out of his room, and rejoices like a strong man eager to run a race. 6It appears at one end of the skies, and circles to the other end of it; and nothing escapes its heat.

7The law of the LORD is perfect, reviving the soul; the testimony of the LORD is sure, making the simple wise. 8The precepts of the LORD are right, and bring joy to the heart; the commands of the LORD are clear, enlightening our vision. 9Reverence for the LORD is pure, enduring forever; the laws of the LORD are altogether true and righteous. 10They are more precious than the finest gold; and sweeter than honey from the honeycomb. 11By Your laws Your servant is guided; and there is great reward in abiding by them.

12Who can perceive his own errors? Cleanse me, Lord, from unknown faults. 13Keep Your servant from any presumptuous sins; do not let them have sway over me; that I may be just, and free from much transgression. 14Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be pleasing in Your sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.
