Psalm 20

To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David.

1May the LORD hear you in your day of trouble; and the name of the God of Jacob defend you 2May He send you help from His sanctuary, and strengthen you out of Zion; 3May He remember all your offerings, and accept your burnt sacrifice; Selah. 4May He grant you according to your own heart, and fulfill all your plans. 5We will rejoice in your victories, and in the name of our God we will set up our banners; the LORD answer all your petitions.

6Now I know that the LORD saves His anointed; He will answer him from His holy heaven with the saving strength of His right hand. 7Some trust in chariots, and some in horses; but we will boast in the name of the LORD our God. 8While they are brought low and fall; we have risen, and stand upright. 9Save, LORD; let the King answer us when we call.
