23And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, you that work iniquity. 24Every one therefore that heareth these my words, and doth them, shall be likened to a wise man that built his house upon a rock, 25And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and they beat upon that house, and it fell not, for it was founded on a rock.…
He that walketh sincerely, walketh confidently: but he that perverteth his ways, shall be manifest.
As vinegar to the teeth, and smoke to the eyes, so is the sluggard to them that sent him.
A man shall be known by his learning: but he that is vain and foolish, shall be exposed to contempt.
And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and they beat upon that house, and it fell not, for it was founded on a rock.
And every one that heareth these my words and doth them not, shall be like a foolish man that built his house upon the sand,
And I say to thee: That thou art Peter; and upon this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
Who, thinkest thou, is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath appointed over his family, to give them meat in season?
And five of them were foolish and five wise.
But the wise took oil in their vessels with the lamps.
The wise answered, saying: Lest perhaps there be not enough for us and for you, go ye rather to them that sell and buy for yourselves.
Every one that cometh to me and heareth my words and doth them, I will shew you to whom he is like.
If you know these things, you shall be blessed if you do them.
For not the hearers of the law are just before God: but the doers of the law shall be justified.
But be ye doers of the word and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
