One of the earliest mentions is found in Exodus 16:10, where the Israelites witness the glory of the LORD appearing in a cloud: "And as Aaron spoke to the whole congregation of the Israelites, they looked toward the desert, and there the glory of the LORD appeared in the cloud" . The Glory of the LORD is also prominently featured in the construction and consecration of the Tabernacle. In 2 Corinthians 3:18, he writes, "And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into His image with intensifying glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit" . The Glory of the LORD also holds eschatological significance, pointing to the ultimate fulfillment of God's redemptive plan. Revelation 21:23 describes the New Jerusalem, where "the city has no need of sun or moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and the Lamb is its lamp" .
