David, fleeing from King Saul, finds refuge in the cave of Adullam. This unlikely sanctuary becomes a gathering place for those in distress, debt, and discontented, who rally around David as their leader. The cave, a symbol of isolation and vulnerability, becomes a fortress of community and strength. "So David left Gath and escaped to the cave of Adullam. When his brothers and the rest of his father’s household heard about it, they went down to him there" (1 Samuel 22:1).

2. Rahab's House (Joshua 2:1-21):
