One of the earliest examples is found in the account of Noah, where God protects Noah and his family from the floodwaters (Genesis 6-9). Revelation 21:3-4 offers a vision of a new heaven and earth where "God Himself will be with them as their God. He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the former things have passed away."
