Over the table of the Presence

The table stood in the Holy Place and held the twelve loaves of the bread of the Presence, representing the twelve tribes of Israel before the Lord. Made of acacia wood and overlaid with gold, it testified to the holiness of the sanctuary and God’s covenant provision for His people.

Before the table was moved, it was covered with blue cloth, marking it as belonging to the holy service of the Tabernacle. The coverings protected the sacred furnishings during Israel’s journeys and distinguished them from ordinary objects.

The vessels used in the service of the table were carried with it, preserving the order God established for worship. They were set apart for the offerings presented before Him.

along with the bowls and pitchers for the drink offering.

These vessels were used in connection with the drink offerings that accompanied Israel’s sacrifices. Their inclusion showed that every part of the Tabernacle service was to be transported and handled according to God’s instructions.

The regular bread offering is to remain on it.
