1 But you, speak the things that are fitting for sound teaching. 2 Older men are to be sober-minded, dignified, sound-minded, being sound in faith, in love, in endurance; 3 older women likewise reverent in behavior, not slanderers, not being enslaved to much wine, teachers of good, 4 so that they may make sober-minded the young women to be lovers of their husbands, lovers of their children, 5 sound-minded, pure, keepers at home, good, being subject to their own husbands, so that the word of God may not be blasphemed. 6 Likewise, exhort the younger men to be sound-minded. 7 Concerning all things, be holding forth yourself as a pattern of good works, in the teaching, incorruptibility, dignity, 8 sound speech, uncondemnable, so that the one of the contrary should be ashamed, having nothing evil to say concerning us. 9 Slaves are to be subject to their own masters in everything, to be well-pleasing, not contradicting, 10 not pilfering, but demonstrating all good faithfulness, so that they may adorn the teaching of God our Savior in all things.
