17 Returning to no one evil for evil; providing things beautiful in the sight of all men. 18 If possible, so far as it is within your power, living in peace with all men; 19 avenging not yourselves, beloved, but give place to wrath; for it has been written, Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord. 20 But if your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him drink: for doing this you will heap coals of fire upon his head. 21 Be not overcome by the evil, but overcome the evil with the good.
