1 For the one directing. A Psalm of David. Blessed is he who acts wisely toward the poor; in a day of evil, YHWH will rescue him. 2 YHWH will guard him and keep him alive; he will be blessed in the land, and You will not deliver him to the will of his enemies. 3 YHWH will support him on his couch of illness; You turn over all his bed in his sickness. 4 I said, “O YHWH, be gracious to me; heal my soul, for I have sinned against You.” 5 My enemies speak evil against me: “When will he die and his name perish?” 6 And if one comes to see me, he speaks emptiness; his heart gathers iniquity for himself; he goes out—at the street he speaks. 7 All those hating me, they whisper together against me; against me they devise evil to me: Psalms 41:1-7, Berean Literal Bible.
