1 Therefore, my brothers (and sisters), whom I love {agapētoi} and long for, my joy and crown, that is how you⁺ must stand firm in the Lord {Kyriō}, my beloved. 2 I urge Euodia (a good journey) and Syntyche (occurrence) to agree with each other in the Lord {Kyriō}. 3 Yes, and I ask you, my true yokefellow (I ask you, loyal Syzygus), to help these women who have contended at my side for the gospel (good news), along with Clement and the rest of my fellow workers, whose names are in the Book (papyrus roll) of Life. 4 Rejoice in the Lord {Kyriō} always. I will say it again: Rejoice! 5 Let your⁺ gentleness be apparent to all. The Lord {Kyrios} is near. 6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your⁺ requests to God {Theon}. 7 And the peace of God {Theou}, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your⁺ hearts and your⁺ minds in Christ (the Anointed One) Jesus (YHWH saves).
