52 you⁺ shall drive out all those dwelling in the land from before you⁺ and destroy all their carved figures, and all their molten images you⁺ shall destroy, and all their high places you⁺ shall demolish. 53 And you⁺ shall possess the land and dwell in it. For to you⁺ I have given the land to possess. 54 And you⁺ shall inherit for yourselves the land by lot among your⁺ clans. To the larger you⁺ shall give a larger inheritance, and to the smaller you shall give a smaller inheritance. To where there the lot goes out to each one, it shall be unto him. According to the tribes of your⁺ fathers you⁺ shall inherit. 55 But if you⁺ do not drive out those dwelling in the land from before you⁺, it shall be that you⁺ leave are irritants in your⁺ eyes and thorns in your⁺ sides, and they shall harass you⁺ in the land in which you⁺ dwell. 56 And it will come to pass that as I thought to do to them, I will do to you⁺.” Numbers 33:52-56, Berean Literal Bible.
