50 And YHWH spoke to Moses in the plains of Moab by the Jordan across from Jericho, saying, 51 “Speak to the sons of Israel, and say to them: When you⁺ have crossed the Jordan into the land of Canaan, 52 you⁺ shall drive out all those dwelling in the land from before you⁺ and destroy all their carved figures, and all their molten images you⁺ shall destroy, and all their high places you⁺ shall demolish. 53 And you⁺ shall possess the land and dwell in it. For to you⁺ I have given the land to possess. 54 And you⁺ shall inherit for yourselves the land by lot among your⁺ clans. To the larger you⁺ shall give a larger inheritance, and to the smaller you shall give a smaller inheritance. To where there the lot goes out to each one, it shall be unto him.
