1 And calling His twelve disciples to Him, Jesus gave them authority over unclean (impure) spirits {pneumatōn}, so that they could drive them out and heal every disease and sickness. 2 These are the names of the twelve apostles (sent ones): first Simon (hearing), called Peter (rock), and his brother Andrew (manly); James (supplanter / follower) son of Zebedee (YHWH has given), and his brother John (YHWH is gracious); 3 Philip (friend of horses) and Bartholomew (son of Talmai); Thomas (twin) and Matthew (Gift of YHWH) the tax collector; James (supplanter / follower) son of Alphaeus (exchange), and Thaddaeus; 4 Simon (hearing) the Zealot \Simon the Cananean/, and Judas (praise) Iscariot, who betrayed Jesus \the one also having betrayed Him/.
