66 And while Peter was in the court below, one of the maid servants of the chief priest came; 67 and when she saw Peter warming himself, she looked at him, and said: You also were with Jesus the Nazarene. 68 But he denied, saying: I neither know, nor understand what you say. And he went out into the entrance, and the cock crew. 69 And the maid-servant saw him again, and began to say to those who stood by: This man is one of them. 70 He again denied. And again, after a little while, those who stood by said to Peter: Surely, you are one of them; for you are a Galilean, and your speech is like theirs. 71 But he began to curse and to swear, saying: I know not this man of whom you speak. 72 And immediately the cock crew the second time.
