1 AND he began to speak to them in parables. A man planted a vineyard, and set a hedge around it, and digged a wine-press, and built a tower, and let it out to husbandmen, and went abroad. 2 And in the season he sent a servant to the husbandmen, that he might receive from the husbandmen of the fruit of the vineyard. 3 But they took him, and beat him, and sent him away empty. 4 And again he sent unto them another servant; and they cut the account short with him, by stoning him, and sent him away shamefully treated. 5 And again he sent another; and him, they slew; and many others, some of whom they beat, and others they killed.
