35 And James and John, the sons of Zebedee, came up to him and said to him, Teacher, we wish you would do for us whatever we ask. 36 He said to them, What do you wish me to do for you? 37 They said to him, Grant us to sit, one at your right and one at your left, in your glory. 38 He said to them, You do not know what you are asking; can you drink the cup which I drink? and be baptized with the baptism with which I am to be baptized? 39 They said to him, We can.
