33 And they said to Him, “The disciples of John fast often and make petitions; likewise also those of the Pharisees; but Yours? eat and drink.” 34 And Jesus said to them, “Are you? able to make the sons of the bridechamber fast while the bridegroom is with them? 35 But days will come also when the bridegroom shall have been taken away from them; then they will fast in those days.” 36 And He was speaking also a parable to them: “No one having torn a patch from a new garment puts it on an old garment. and if otherwise, he will tear the new also, and the old will not match the patch from the new. 37 And no one puts new wine into old wineskins. and if otherwise, the new wine will burst the wineskins, and it will be poured out, and the wineskins will be destroyed. 38 But new wine must be put into fresh wineskins. 39 And no one having drunk old wine wants new; for he says, ‘The old is good.’” Luke 5:33-39, Berean Literal Bible.
