Par

But, on the first day of the sabbaths, at early dawn, they came to the tomb, bringing the spices which they prepared.

And they found the stone rolled away from the tomb;

and, entering, they found not the body of the Lord Jesus.

And it came to pass, while they were perplexed about this, behold, also two men stood near them in dazzling apparel.

And, as they became afraid, and were bowing their faces to the earth, they said to them, "Why are ye seeking the Living among the dead?

He is not here, but was raised. Remember how He spake to you, being yet in Galilee,

saying, "The Son of Man must be delivered up into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and on the third day rise again,"

And they remembered His words;

and, returning from the tomb, they reported all these things to the eleven and to all the rest.

Now they were Mary Magdalene, and Joana, and Mary the mother of James; and the rest of the women with them were telling these things to the apostles.
