1 And the whole number of them arose, and led him away to Pilate. 2 And they began to accuse him, saying: We found this man turning the people away, and forbidding to give tribute to Caesar, saying that he himself is Christ, a king. 3 And Pilate asked him, saying: Are you the king of the Jews? He answered and said to him: You say it. 4 Pilate said to the chief priests and to the multitudes: I find no fault in this man. 5 But they became the more urgent, and said: He excites the people, teaching throughout the whole of Judea, be ginning from Galilee to this place. 6 When Pilate heard of Galilee, he asked if the man was a Galilean. 7 And when he learned that he belonged to the dominion of Herod, he sent him to Herod, who was at that time in Jerusalem.
