1 And the feast of the unleavened bread, called the passover, was nigh. 2 And the chief priests and scribes were seeking how they might kill Him; for they feared the people. 3 And Satan entered into Judas called Iscariot, being of the number of the twelve. 4 And having gone away, he spoke with the chief priests and the magistrates, how he might betray Him to them. 5 And they rejoiced, and promised to give him money. 6 And he promised them, and was seeking an opportunity to deliver Him unto them in the absence of the multitude. 7 And the day of the unleavened bread came, in which it behooved to slay the passover. 8 And He sent Peter and John, saying, Going prepare for us the passover, in order that we may eat it.
