25 And there was a disputation of the disciples of John, concerning purifying. 26 And they came to John, and said to him, Rabbi, He who is with thee beyond the Jordan, to whom thou hast borne witness, behold, the same baptizeth, and all are coming to Him. 27 John responded and said, No man is able to receive anything, unless it may have been given unto him from heaven. 28 You are witnessing to me, that I said, I am not the Christ, but that I am sent before Him. 29 The one having the bride is the Bridegroom: but the friend of the Bridegroom is the one standing and hearing him, rejoiceth with joy on account of the Bridegroom: This, my joy has been made complete. 30 It behooveth Him to increase, and me to decrease.
