37 But of Him having done so many signs before them, they did not believe in Him, 38 so that the word of Isaiah the prophet might be fulfilled that said: “Lord, who has believed our report? And to whom was the arm of the Lord revealed?” 39 Because of this, they were not able to believe, because again Isaiah said: 40 “He has blinded their eyes and hardened their heart, so that they might not see with the eyes, and understand with the heart, and turn, and I will heal them.” 41 Isaiah said these things because he saw His glory and spoke about Him. 42 Nevertheless, indeed many of the rulers also believed in Him, but because of the Pharisees they were not confessing, so that they might not be put out of the synagogue; 43 for they loved the glory of men more than the glory of God.
