Jeremiah 45:1-3 ▼

1 This is the word that Jeremiah (whom YHWH has appointed) the prophet spoke to Baruch (blessed) son of Neriah (lamp of YHWH) when he wrote these words on a scroll at the dictation of Jeremiah in the fourth year of Jehoiakim (YHWH raises up) son of Josiah (whom YHWH heals), king of Judah (praised):

2 “This is what the LORD, the God {YHWH Elohe} of Israel (he wrestles with God), says to you, Baruch (blessed):

3 You have said, ‘Woe is me because the LORD {YHWH} has added sorrow to my pain! I am worn out with groaning and have found no rest.’”
