36 Then the angel of the LORD {YHWH} went out and struck down 185,000 men in the camp of the Assyrians (a step). When the people got up \When they got up/ the next morning, there were all the dead bodies! 37 So Sennacherib king of Assyria (a step) broke camp and withdrew. He returned to Nineveh (abode of Ninus) and stayed there. 38 One day, while he was worshiping in the temple of his god Nisroch (the great eagle), his sons Adrammelech (honor of the king) and Sharezer (prince of fire) put him to the sword and escaped to the land of Ararat (curse reversed).
