The elder, To Gaius the beloved, whom I love in truth.

Beloved, concerning all things I pray you to prosper and to be in good health, just as your soul prospers.

For I rejoiced exceedingly on the brothers' coming and testifying of your truth, just as you are walking in truth.

I have no greater joy than these things, that I should hear of my children walking in the truth.

Beloved, you are doing faithfully whatever you might work for the brothers, and they are strangers,

who testified of your love before the church, whom you will do well having sent forward worthily of God.

For they went out on behalf of the Name, receiving nothing from the Gentiles.
