5 For this very reason, make every effort to add to your⁺ faith virtue; and to virtue, knowledge; 6 and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance (endurance); and to perseverance, godliness; 7 and to godliness, brotherly kindness {philadelphian}; and to brotherly kindness {philadelphia}, love {agapēn}. 8 For if you⁺ possess these qualities and continue to grow in them, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge (discernment) of our Lord {Kyriou} Jesus (YHWH saves) Christ (the Anointed One). 2 Peter 1:5-8, Berean Annotated Bible.
