1 For the Chief Musician. On an instrument of Gath. By Asaph. Sing aloud to God, our strength! Make a joyful shout to the God of Jacob! Sing aloud to God our strength; shout for joy to the God of Jacob! For the director of music. According to gittith. Of Asaph. Sing for joy to God our strength; shout aloud to the God of Jacob!
2 Raise a song, and bring here the tambourine, the pleasant lyre with the harp. Raise a song; sound the tambourine, the sweet lyre with the harp. Begin the music, strike the timbrel, play the melodious harp and lyre.
3 Blow the trumpet at the New Moon, at the full moon, on our feast day. Blow the trumpet at the new moon, at the full moon, on our feast day. Sound the ram’s horn at the New Moon, and when the moon is full, on the day of our festival;

8 “Hear, my people, and I will testify to you, Israel, if you would listen to me! Hear, O my people, while I admonish you! O Israel, if you would but listen to me! Hear me, my people, and I will warn you— if you would only listen to me, Israel!
9 There shall be no strange god in you, neither shall you worship any foreign god. There shall be no strange god among you; you shall not bow down to a foreign god. You shall have no foreign god among you; you shall not worship any god other than me.
10 I am Yahweh, your God, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt. Open your mouth wide, and I will fill it. I am the LORD your God, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt. Open your mouth wide, and I will fill it. I am the LORD your God, who brought you up out of Egypt. Open wide your mouth and I will fill it.
11 But my people didn’t listen to my voice. Israel desired none of me. “But my people did not listen to my voice; Israel would not submit to me. “But my people would not listen to me; Israel would not submit to me.
12 So I let them go after the stubbornness of their hearts, that they might walk in their own counsels. So I gave them over to their stubborn hearts, to follow their own counsels. So I gave them over to their stubborn hearts to follow their own devices.

16 But he would have also fed them with the finest of the wheat.
