<V 60:1>Unto the end. With hymns, of David. <V 60:2>O God, pay attention to my supplication. Be attentive to my prayer. Hear my cry, O God, listen to my prayer; For the director of music. With stringed instruments. Of David. Hear my cry, O God; listen to my prayer.
<V 60:3>I cried out to you from the ends of the earth. When my heart was in anguish, you exalted me on a rock. You have led me, from the end of the earth I call to you when my heart is faint. Lead me to the rock that is higher than I, From the ends of the earth I call to you, I call as my heart grows faint; lead me to the rock that is higher than I.
<V 60:4>for you have been my hope, a tower of strength before the face of the enemy. for you have been my refuge, a strong tower against the enemy. For you have been my refuge, a strong tower against the foe.
<V 60:5>I will dwell in your tabernacle forever. I will be protected under the cover of your wings. Let me dwell in your tent forever! Let me take refuge under the shelter of your wings! Selah I long to dwell in your tent forever and take refuge in the shelter of your wings.
<V 60:6>For you, my God, have listened to my prayer. You have granted an inheritance to those who fear your name. For you, O God, have heard my vows; you have given me the heritage of those who fear your name. For you, God, have heard my vows; you have given me the heritage of those who fear your name.
<V 60:7>You will add days to the days of the king, to his years, even to the time of generation after generation. Prolong the life of the king; may his years endure to all generations! Increase the days of the king’s life, his years for many generations.
<V 60:8>He remains in eternity, in the sight of God. Who will long for his mercy and truth? May he be enthroned forever before God; appoint steadfast love and faithfulness to watch over him! May he be enthroned in God’s presence forever; appoint your love and faithfulness to protect him.
<V 60:9>So I will compose a psalm to your name, forever and ever, so that I may repay my vows from day to day. So will I ever sing praises to your name, as I perform my vows day after day. Then I will ever sing in praise of your name and fulfill my vows day after day.
