1	For the one directing. According to Mahalath. A Maskil of David. The fool says in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt and have done abominable injustice; there is no one doing good.	The fool says in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, doing abominable iniquity; there is none who does good.	For the director of music. According to mahalath. A maskil of David. The fool says in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, and their ways are vile; there is no one who does good.
2	God looks down from the heavens upon the sons of man, to see: Is there one acting wisely, seeking God?	God looks down from heaven on the children of man to see if there are any who understand, who seek after God.	God looks down from heaven on all mankind to see if there are any who understand, any who seek God.
3	All have turned back, together they have become corrupt; there is no one doing good, not even one.	They have all fallen away; together they have become corrupt; there is none who does good, not even one.	Everyone has turned away, all have become corrupt; there is no one who does good, not even one.
4	Will they not learn, the workers of iniquity, those devouring my people they have devoured bread; they do not call upon God.	Have those who work evil no knowledge, who eat up my people as they eat bread, and do not call upon God?	Do all these evildoers know nothing? They devour my people as though eating bread; they never call on God.
5	There they feared a fear—there was no fear. For God scattered the bones of the one setting camp against you; you have put them to shame, for God has rejected them.	There they are, in great terror, where there is no terror! For God scatters the bones of him who encamps against you; you put them to shame, for God has rejected them.	But there they are, overwhelmed with dread, where there was nothing to dread. God scattered the bones of those who attacked you; you put them to shame, for God despised them.
6	Who will give from Zion the salvation of Israel? God, in turning back the captivity of His people, let Jacob rejoice; let Israel be glad!	Oh, that salvation for Israel would come out of Zion! When God restores the fortunes of his people, let Jacob rejoice, let Israel be glad.	Oh, that salvation for Israel would come out of Zion! When God restores his people, let Jacob rejoice and Israel be glad!
