1 Praise the LORD! Praise the LORD, O my soul! Praise the LORD! Praise the LORD, O my soul! Praise the LORD. Praise the LORD, my soul.
2 I will praise the LORD as long as I live! I will sing praises to my God as long as I exist! I will praise the LORD as long as I live; I will sing praises to my God while I have my being. I will praise the LORD all my life; I will sing praise to my God as long as I live.
3 Do not trust in princes, or in human beings, who cannot deliver! Put not your trust in princes, in a son of man, in whom there is no salvation. Do not put your trust in princes, in human beings, who cannot save.
4 Their life's breath departs, they return to the ground; on that day their plans die. When his breath departs, he returns to the earth; on that very day his plans perish. When their spirit departs, they return to the ground; on that very day their plans come to nothing.
