1 Praise Yah! Praise Yahweh, O my soul! Praise the LORD! Praise the LORD, O my soul! Praise the LORD. Praise the LORD, my soul.
2 I will praise Yahweh throughout my life; I will sing praises to my God while I have my being. I will praise the LORD as long as I live; I will sing praises to my God while I have my being. I will praise the LORD all my life; I will sing praise to my God as long as I live.
3 Do not trust in nobles, In merely a son of man, in whom there is no salvation. Put not your trust in princes, in a son of man, in whom there is no salvation. Do not put your trust in princes, in human beings, who cannot save.
4 His spirit departs, he returns to the earth; In that very day his plans perish. When his breath departs, he returns to the earth; on that very day his plans perish. When their spirit departs, they return to the ground; on that very day their plans come to nothing.
5 How blessed is he whose help is the God of Jacob, Whose hope is in Yahweh his God, Blessed is he whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the LORD his God, Blessed are those whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the LORD their God.

7 Who does justice for the oppressed; Who gives food to the hungry. Yahweh sets the prisoners free. who executes justice for the oppressed, who gives food to the hungry. 8 Yahweh opens the eyes of the blind; Yahweh raises up those who are bowed down; Yahweh loves the righteous; the LORD opens the eyes of the blind. 9 Yahweh keeps the sojourners; He helps up the orphan and the widow, But He bends the way of the wicked. The LORD watches over the sojourners; he upholds the widow and the fatherless, but the way of the wicked he brings to ruin. The LORD watches over the foreigner and sustains the fatherless and the widow, but he frustrates the ways of the wicked.
10 Yahweh will reign forever, Your God, O Zion, from generation to generation. Praise Yah! The LORD will reign forever, your God, O Zion, to all generations. Praise the LORD! The LORD reigns forever, your God, O Zion, for all generations. Praise the LORD.
