1 Hallelujah! My soul, praise the LORD. Praise the LORD! Praise the LORD, O my soul! Praise the LORD. Praise the LORD, my soul.
2 I will praise the LORD all my life; I will sing to my God as long as I live. I will praise the LORD as long as I live; I will sing praises to my God while I have my being. I will praise the LORD all my life; I will sing praise to my God as long as I live.
3 Do not trust in nobles, in a son of man, who cannot save. Put not your trust in princes, in a son of man, in whom there is no salvation. Do not put your trust in princes, in human beings, who cannot save.
4 When his breath leaves him, he returns to the ground; on that day his plans die. When his breath departs, he returns to the earth; on that very day his plans perish. When their spirit departs, they return to the ground; on that very day their plans come to nothing.
