8 Rise up, LORD, come to your resting place, you and your powerful ark. Arise, O LORD, and go to your resting place, you and the ark of your might. Arise, LORD, and come to your resting place, you and the ark of your might.
9 May your priests be clothed with righteousness, and may your faithful people shout for joy. Let your priests be clothed with righteousness, and let your saints shout for joy. May your priests be clothed with your righteousness; may your faithful people sing for joy.’”
10 For the sake of your servant David, do not reject your anointed one. For the sake of your servant David, do not turn away the face of your anointed one. For the sake of your servant David, do not reject your anointed one.
11 The LORD swore an oath to David, a promise he will not abandon: “I will set one of your offspring on your throne. The LORD swore to David a sure oath from which he will not turn back: “One of the sons of your body I will set on your throne. The LORD swore an oath to David, a sure oath he will not revoke: “One of your own descendants I will place on your throne.
12 If your sons keep my covenant and my decrees that I will teach them, their sons will also sit on your throne forever.” If your sons keep my covenant and my testimonies that I shall teach them, their sons also forever shall sit on your throne.” If your sons keep my covenant and the statutes I teach them, then their sons will sit on your throne for ever and ever.”
13 For the LORD has chosen Zion; he has desired it for his home: For the LORD has chosen Zion; he has desired it for his dwelling place: For the LORD has chosen Zion, he has desired it for his dwelling, saying,
14 “This is my resting place forever; I will make my home here because I have desired it. “This is my resting place forever; here I will dwell, for I have desired it. “This is my resting place for ever and ever; here I will sit enthroned, for I have desired it.
15 I will abundantly bless its food; I will satisfy its needy with bread. I will abundantly bless her provisions; I will satisfy her poor with bread. I will bless her with abundant provisions; her poor I will satisfy with food.
16 I will clothe its priests with salvation, and its faithful people will shout for joy. Her priests I will clothe with salvation, and her saints will shout for joy. I will clothe her priests with salvation, and her faithful people will ever sing for joy.
17 There I will make a horn grow for David; I have prepared a lamp for my anointed one. There I will make a horn to sprout for David; I have prepared a lamp for my anointed. “Here I will make a horn grow for David and set up a lamp for my anointed one.
18 I will clothe his enemies with shame, but the crown he wears will be glorious.” His enemies I will clothe with shame, but on him his crown will shine.” I will clothe his enemies with shame, but his head will be adorned with a radiant crown.”
