1 A song of ascents. How blessed is every one of the LORD's loyal followers, each one who keeps his commands! Blessed is everyone who fears the LORD, who walks in his ways! A song of ascents. Blessed are all who fear the LORD, who walk in obedience to him.
2 You will eat what you worked so hard to grow. You will be blessed and secure. You shall eat the fruit of the labor of your hands; you shall be blessed, and it shall be well with you. You will eat the fruit of your labor; blessings and prosperity will be yours.
3 Your wife will be like a fruitful vine in the inner rooms of your house; your children will be like olive branches, as they sit all around your table. Your wife will be like a fruitful vine within your house; your children will be like olive shoots around your table. 4 Yes indeed, the man who fears the LORD will be blessed in this way. Behold, thus shall the man be blessed who fears the LORD. Yes, this will be the blessing for the man who fears the LORD.
5 May the LORD bless you from Zion, that you might see Jerusalem prosper all the days of your life, The LORD bless you from Zion! May you see the prosperity of Jerusalem all the days of your life! May the LORD bless you from Zion; may you see the prosperity of Jerusalem all the days of your life.
6 and that you might see your grandchildren. May Israel experience peace! May you see your children’s children! Peace be upon Israel! May you live to see your children’s children— peace be on Israel.
