1 A psalm of David. I will sing about loyalty and justice! To you, O LORD, I will sing praises! I will sing of steadfast love and justice; to you, O LORD, I will make music. Of David. A psalm. I will sing of your love and justice; to you, LORD, I will sing praise.
2 I will walk in the way of integrity. When will you come to me? I will conduct my business with integrity in the midst of my palace. I will ponder the way that is blameless. Oh when will you come to me? I will walk with integrity of heart within my house; I will be careful to lead a blameless life— when will you come to me? I will conduct the affairs of my house with a blameless heart.
3 I will not even consider doing what is dishonest. I hate doing evil; I will have no part of it. I will not set before my eyes anything that is worthless. I hate the work of those who fall away; it shall not cling to me. I will not look with approval on anything that is vile. I hate what faithless people do; I will have no part in it.
4 I will have nothing to do with a perverse person; I will not permit evil. A perverse heart shall be far from me; I will know nothing of evil. The perverse of heart shall be far from me; I will have nothing to do with what is evil.
5 I will destroy anyone who slanders his neighbor in secret. I will not tolerate anyone who has a cocky demeanor and an arrogant attitude. Whoever slanders his neighbor secretly I will destroy. Whoever has a haughty look and an arrogant heart I will not endure. Whoever slanders their neighbor in secret, I will put to silence; whoever has haughty eyes and a proud heart, I will not tolerate.
6 I will favor the honest people of the land, and allow them to live with me. Those who walk in the way of integrity will attend me. I will look with favor on the faithful in the land, that they may dwell with me; he who walks in the way that is blameless shall minister to me. My eyes will be on the faithful in the land, that they may dwell with me; the one whose walk is blameless will minister to me.
7 Deceitful people will not live in my palace. Liars will not be welcome in my presence. No one who practices deceit shall dwell in my house; no one who utters lies shall continue before my eyes. No one who practices deceit will dwell in my house; no one who speaks falsely will stand in my presence.
8 Each morning I will destroy all the wicked people in the land, and remove all evildoers from the city of the LORD. Morning by morning I will destroy all the wicked in the land, cutting off all the evildoers from the city of the LORD. Every morning I will put to silence all the wicked in the land; I will cut off every evildoer from the city of the LORD.
