1 {A Psalm of David.} I will sing of loving-kindness and judgment: unto thee, Jehovah, will I sing psalms. I will sing of steadfast love and justice; to you, O LORD, I will make music. Of David. A psalm. I will sing of your love and justice; to you, LORD, I will sing praise.
2 I will behave myself wisely in a perfect way. When wilt thou come unto me? I will walk within my house in the integrity of my heart. I will ponder the way that is blameless. Oh when will you come to me? I will walk with integrity of heart within my house; I will be careful to lead a blameless life— when will you come to me? I will conduct the affairs of my house with a blameless heart.
3 I will set no thing of Belial before mine eyes: I hate the work of them that turn aside; it shall not cleave to me. I will not set before my eyes anything that is worthless. I hate the work of those who fall away; it shall not cling to me. I will not look with approval on anything that is vile. I hate what faithless people do; I will have no part in it.
4 A perverse heart shall depart from me; I will not know evil. A perverse heart shall be far from me; I will know nothing of evil. The perverse of heart shall be far from me; I will have nothing to do with what is evil.
5 Whoso secretly slandereth his neighbour, him will I destroy; him that hath a high look and a proud heart will I not suffer. Whoever slanders his neighbor secretly I will destroy. Whoever has a haughty look and an arrogant heart I will not endure. Whoever slanders their neighbor in secret, I will put to silence; whoever has haughty eyes and a proud heart, I will not tolerate.
6 Mine eyes shall be upon the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me; he that walketh in a perfect way, he shall serve me. I will look with favor on the faithful in the land, that they may dwell with me; he who walks in the way that is blameless shall minister to me. My eyes will be on the faithful in the land, that they may dwell with me; the one whose walk is blameless will minister to me.
7 He that practiseth deceit shall not dwell within my house; he that speaketh falsehoods shall not subsist in my sight. No one who practices deceit shall dwell in my house; no one who utters lies shall continue before my eyes. No one who practices deceit will dwell in my house; no one who speaks falsely will stand in my presence.
8 Every morning will I destroy all the wicked of the land: to cut off all workers of iniquity from the city of Jehovah. Morning by morning I will destroy all the wicked in the land, cutting off all the evildoers from the city of the LORD. Every morning I will put to silence all the wicked in the land; I will cut off every evildoer from the city of the LORD.
