A Psalm of David. I will sing of [steadfast] lovingkindness and justice; To You, O LORD, I will sing praises. I will sing of steadfast love and justice; to you, O LORD, I will make music. Of David. A psalm. I will sing of your love and justice; to you, LORD, I will sing praise.
I will behave wisely and follow the way of integrity. When will You come to me? I will walk in my house in integrity and with a blameless heart. I will ponder the way that is blameless. Oh when will you come to me? I will walk with integrity of heart within my house; I will be careful to lead a blameless life— when will you come to me? I will conduct the affairs of my house with a blameless heart.
I will set no worthless or wicked thing before my eyes. I hate the practice of those who fall away [from the right path]; It will not grasp hold of me. I will not set before my eyes anything that is worthless. I hate the work of those who fall away; it shall not cling to me. I will not look with approval on anything that is vile. I hate what faithless people do; I will have no part in it.
A perverse heart shall depart from me; I will not tolerate evil. A perverse heart shall be far from me; I will know nothing of evil. The perverse of heart shall be far from me; I will have nothing to do with what is evil.
Whoever secretly slanders his neighbor, him I will silence; The one who has a haughty look and a proud (arrogant) heart I will not tolerate. Whoever slanders his neighbor secretly I will destroy. Whoever has a haughty look and an arrogant heart I will not endure. Whoever slanders their neighbor in secret, I will put to silence; whoever has haughty eyes and a proud heart, I will not tolerate.
My eyes will be on the faithful (honorable) of the land, that they may dwell with me; He who walks blamelessly is the one who will minister to and serve me. I will look with favor on the faithful in the land, that they may dwell with me; he who walks in the way that is blameless shall minister to me. My eyes will be on the faithful in the land, that they may dwell with me; the one whose walk is blameless will minister to me.
He who practices deceit will not dwell in my house; He who tells lies and half-truths will not continue [to remain] in my presence. No one who practices deceit shall dwell in my house; no one who utters lies shall continue before my eyes. No one who practices deceit will dwell in my house; no one who speaks falsely will stand in my presence.
Morning after morning I will destroy all the wicked in the land, That I may cut off from the city of the LORD all those who do evil. Morning by morning I will destroy all the wicked in the land, cutting off all the evildoers from the city of the LORD. Every morning I will put to silence all the wicked in the land; I will cut off every evildoer from the city of the LORD.
