The sons of Reuben: Of Hanoch, the clan of the Hanochite; of Pallu, the clan of the Palluite;	Reuben, the firstborn of Israel; the sons of Reuben: of Hanoch, the clan of the Hanochites; of Pallu, the clan of the Palluites;	The descendants of Reuben, the firstborn son of Israel, were: through Hanok, the Hanokite clan; through Pallu, the Palluite clan;
6	of Hezron, the clan of the Hezronite; of Carmi, the clan of the Carmite.	of Hezron, the clan of the Hezronites; of Carmi, the clan of the Carmites.	through Hezron, the Hezronite clan; through Karmi, the Karmite clan.
7	These are the clans of the Reubenite, and those numbered were three and forty thousand and seven hundred and thirty.	These are the clans of the Reubenites, and those listed were 43,730.	These were the clans of Reuben; those numbered were 43,730.
8	And the sons of Pallu: Eliab,	And the sons of Pallu: Eliab.	The son of Pallu was Eliab,
9	and the sons of Eliab were Nemuel and Dathan and Abiram. They are the Dathan and Abiram, called of the congregation, who contended against Moses and Aaron in the company of Korah when they contended against YHWH.	The sons of Eliab: Nemuel, Dathan, and Abiram. These are the Dathan and Abiram, chosen from the congregation, who contended against Moses and Aaron in the company of Korah, when they contended against the LORD	and the sons of Eliab were Nemuel, Dathan and Abiram. The same Dathan and Abiram were the community officials who rebelled against Moses and Aaron and were among Korah’s followers when they rebelled against the LORD.
10	And the earth opened its mouth and swallowed them up, and with them Korah in the death of the company, when the fire devoured two hundred and fifty men, and they became a sign.	and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed them up together with Korah, when that company died, when the fire devoured 250 men, and they became a warning.	The earth opened its mouth and swallowed them along with Korah, whose followers died when the fire devoured the 250 men. And they served as a warning sign.
11	And the sons of Korah did not die.	But the sons of Korah did not die.	The line of Korah, however, did not die out.

29	The sons of Manasseh: Of Machir, the clan of the Machirite; and Machir begat Gilead; of Gilead, the clan of the Gileadite.	The sons of Manasseh: of Machir, the clan of the Machirites; and Machir was the father of Gilead; of Gilead, the clan of the Gileadites. These are the sons of Ephraim according to their clans: of Shuthelah, the clan of the Shuthelahites; of Becher, the clan of the Becherites; of Tahan, the clan of the Tahanites. 37	These were the clans of the sons of Ephraim by their numbered ones, two and thirty thousand and five hundred. These were the sons of Joseph by their clans.	These are the clans of the sons of Ephraim as they were listed, 32,500. These are the sons of Joseph according to their clans.	These were the clans of Ephraim; those numbered were 32,500. These were the descendants of Joseph by their clans.

42	These were the sons of Dan by their clans: Of Shuham, the clan of the Shuhamite. These were the clans of Dan by their clans.	These are the sons of Dan according to their clans: of Shuham, the clan of the Shuhamites. These are the clans of Dan according to their clans.	These were the descendants of Dan by their clans: through Shuham, the Shuhamite clan. These were the clans of Dan:
43	All the clans of the Shuhamite by their numbered ones were four and sixty thousand and four hundred.	All the clans of the Shuhamites, as they were listed, were 64,400.	All of them were Shuhamite clans; and those numbered were 64,400.

52	And YHWH spoke to Moses, saying,	The LORD spoke to Moses, saying,	The LORD said to Moses,
53	“To these land shall be divided as an inheritance by the number of names.	“Among these the land shall be divided for inheritance according to the number of names.	“The land is to be allotted to them as an inheritance based on the number of names.
54	To the many you shall increase their inheritance, and to the few you shall diminish their inheritance; each according to their numbered shall be given its inheritance.	To a large tribe you shall give a large inheritance, and to a small tribe you shall give a small inheritance; every tribe shall be given its inheritance in proportion to its list.	To a larger group give a larger inheritance, and to a smaller group a smaller one; each is to receive its inheritance according to the number of those listed.
55	But by lot the land shall be divided; by the names of the tribes of their fathers they shall inherit.	But the land shall be divided by lot. According to the names of the tribes of their fathers they shall inherit.	Be sure that the land is distributed by lot. What each group inherits will be according to the names for its ancestral tribe.
56	According to mouth, the lot of their inheritance shall be divided between many and few.”	Their inheritance shall be divided according to lot between the larger and the smaller.”	Each inheritance is to be distributed by lot among the larger and smaller groups.”
57	And these are the numbered ones of the Levite by their clans: Of Gershon, the clan of the Gershonite; of Kohath, the clan of the Kohathite; of Merari, the clan of the Merarite.	This was the list of the Levites according to their clans: of Gershon, the clan of the Gershonites; of Kohath, the clan of the Kohathites; of Merari, the clan of the Merarites.	These were the Levites who were counted by their clans: through Gershon, the Gershonite clan; through Kohath, the Kohathite clan; through Merari, the Merarite clan.
58	These are the clans of Levi: The clan of the Libnite, the clan of the Hebronite, the clan of the Mahlite, the clan of the Mushite, and the clan of the Korahite. And Kohath begat Amram.	These are the clans of Levi: the clan of the Libnites, the clan of the Hebronites, the clan of the Mahlites, the clan of the Mushites, the clan of the Korahites. And Kohath was the father of Amram.	These also were Levite clans: the Libnite clan, the Hebronite clan, the Mahlite clan, the Mushite clan, the Korahite clan. (Kohath was the forefather of Amram;
59	And the name of the wife of Amram was Jochebed daughter of Levi, who was born to Levi in Egypt. And she bore to Amram Aaron and Moses and Miriam their sister.	The name of Amram’s wife was Jochebed the daughter of Levi, who was born to Levi in Egypt. And she bore to Amram Aaron and Moses and Miriam their sister.	the name of Amram’s wife was Jochebed, a descendant of Levi, who was born to the Levites in Egypt. To Amram she bore Aaron, Moses and their sister Miriam.
60	And were born to Aaron Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar.	And to Aaron were born Nadab, Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.	Aaron was the father of Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar.
61	And Nadab and Abihu died when they offered strange fire before the face of YHWH.	But Nadab and Abihu died when they offered unauthorized fire before the LORD.	But Nadab and Abihu died when they made an offering before the LORD with unauthorized fire.)
62	And their numbered ones were three and twenty thousand, every male from a son of a month and above; for they were not numbered in the midst of the sons of Israel, because no inheritance was given to them in the midst of the sons of Israel.	And those listed were 23,000, every male from a month old and upward. For they were not listed among the people of Israel, because there was no inheritance given to them among the people of Israel.	All the male Levites a month old or more numbered 23,000. They were not counted along with the other Israelites because they received no inheritance among them.
63	These were numbered by Moses and Eleazar the priest, who numbered the sons of Israel in the plains of Moab by the Jordan opposite Jericho.	These were those listed by Moses and Eleazar the priest, who listed the people of Israel in the plains of Moab by the Jordan at Jericho.	These are the ones counted by Moses and Eleazar the priest when they counted the Israelites on the plains of Moab by the Jordan across from Jericho.
64	And among these there was not a man of those numbered by Moses and Aaron the priest when they numbered the sons of Israel in the Wilderness of Sinai.	But among these there was not one of those listed by Moses and Aaron the priest, who had listed the people of Israel in the wilderness of Sinai.	Not one of them was among those counted by Moses and Aaron the priest when they counted the Israelites in the Desert of Sinai.
65	For YHWH had said of them: They will surely die in the wilderness. And there was not left a man of them except Caleb son of Jephunneh and Joshua son of Nun.	For the LORD had said of them, “They shall die in the wilderness.” Not one of them was left, except Caleb the son of Jephunneh and Joshua the son of Nun.	For the LORD had told those Israelites they would surely die in the wilderness, and not one of them was left except Caleb son of Jephunneh and Joshua son of Nun.
