8 וַיֹּ֨אמֶר יְהוָ֜ה אֶל־ מֹשֶׁ֗ה עֲשֵׂ֤ה לְךָ֙ שָׂרָ֔ף וְשִׂ֥ים אֹת֖וֹ עַל־ נֵ֑ס וְהָיָה֙ כָּל־ הַנָּשׁ֔וּךְ וְרָאָ֥ה אֹת֖וֹ וָחָֽי׃ And the LORD said to Moses, “Make a fiery serpent and set it on a pole, and everyone who is bitten, when he sees it, shall live.” The LORD said to Moses, “Make a snake and put it up on a pole; anyone who is bitten can look at it and live.”
9 וַיַּ֤עַשׂ מֹשֶׁה֙ נְחַ֣שׁ נְחֹ֔שֶׁת וַיְשִׂמֵ֖הוּ עַל־ הַנֵּ֑ס וְהָיָ֗ה אִם־ נָשַׁ֤ךְ הַנָּחָשׁ֙ אֶת־ אִ֔ישׁ וְהִבִּ֛יט אֶל־ נְחַ֥שׁ הַנְּחֹ֖שֶׁת וָחָֽי׃ So Moses made a bronze serpent and set it on a pole. And if a serpent bit anyone, he would look at the bronze serpent and live. So Moses made a bronze snake and put it up on a pole. Then when anyone was bitten by a snake and looked at the bronze snake, they lived.
