His clothing became glistening, exceedingly white, like snow, such as no launderer on earth can whiten them. and his clothes became radiant, intensely white, as no one on earth could bleach them. His clothes became dazzling white, whiter than anyone in the world could bleach them.
Elijah and Moses appeared to them, and they were talking with Jesus. And there appeared to them Elijah with Moses, and they were talking with Jesus. And there appeared before them Elijah and Moses, who were talking with Jesus.
Peter answered Jesus, “Rabbi, it is good for us to be here. Let’s make three tents: one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah.” And Peter said to Jesus, “Rabbi, it is good that we are here. Let us make three tents, one for you and one for Moses and one for Elijah.” Peter said to Jesus, “Rabbi, it is good for us to be here. Let us put up three shelters—one for you, one for Moses and one for Elijah.”
For he didn’t know what to say, for they were very afraid. For he did not know what to say, for they were terrified. (He did not know what to say, they were so frightened.)
A cloud came, overshadowing them, and a voice came out of the cloud, “This is my beloved Son. Listen to him.” And a cloud overshadowed them, and a voice came out of the cloud, “This is my beloved Son; listen to him.” Then a cloud appeared and covered them, and a voice came from the cloud: “This is my Son, whom I love. Listen to him!”
Suddenly looking around, they saw no one with them any more, except Jesus only. And suddenly, looking around, they no longer saw anyone with them but Jesus only. Suddenly, when they looked around, they no longer saw anyone with them except Jesus.
