9 Which is easier: to say to the paralytic, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Arise, and take up your mat, and walk’? Which is easier, to say to the paralytic, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Rise, take up your bed and walk’? Which is easier: to say to this paralyzed man, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Get up, take your mat and walk’?
10 But so that you⁺ may know that the Son of Man has authority to forgive sins on the earth...” He says to the paralytic, But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins”—he said to the paralytic— But I want you to know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins.” So he said to the man,
11 “I say to you, arise, take up your mat, and go to your house.” “I say to you, rise, pick up your bed, and go home.” “I tell you, get up, take your mat and go home.”
