1 AND the LORD called to Moses and spoke to him from the tabernacle of the congregation, saying, The LORD called Moses and spoke to him from the tent of meeting, saying, The LORD called to Moses and spoke to him from the tent of meeting. He said,
2 Speak to the children of Israel and say to them, When any man of you brings an offering to the LORD, you shall bring your offerings of the cattle, even of the herd and of the flock. “Speak to the people of Israel and say to them, When any one of you brings an offering to the LORD, you shall bring your offering of livestock from the herd or from the flock. “Speak to the Israelites and say to them: ‘When anyone among you brings an offering to the LORD, bring as your offering an animal from either the herd or the flock.
3 If his offering be a burnt sacrifice of the herd, let him offer a male without blemish; he shall offer it at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation to make reconciliation for himself before the LORD. “If his offering is a burnt offering from the herd, he shall offer a male without blemish. He shall bring it to the entrance of the tent of meeting, that he may be accepted before the LORD. “’If the offering is a burnt offering from the herd, you are to offer a male without defect. You must present it at the entrance to the tent of meeting so that it will be acceptable to the LORD.
4 And he shall put his hand upon the head of his burnt offering; and it shall be accepted for him to make atonement for him. He shall lay his hand on the head of the burnt offering, and it shall be accepted for him to make atonement for him. You are to lay your hand on the head of the burnt offering, and it will be accepted on your behalf to make atonement for you.
5 And he shall kill the bullock before the LORD; and the priests, Aaron's sons, shall bring the blood and sprinkle the blood round about upon the altar that is by the door of the tabernacle of the congregation. Then he shall kill the bull before the LORD, and Aaron’s sons the priests shall bring the blood and throw the blood against the sides of the altar that is at the entrance of the tent of meeting. You are to slaughter the young bull before the LORD, and then Aaron’s sons the priests shall bring the blood and splash it against the sides of the altar at the entrance to the tent of meeting.
6 And he shall flay the burnt offering and cut it into pieces. Then he shall flay the burnt offering and cut it into pieces, You are to skin the burnt offering and cut it into pieces.
7 And the priests, Aaron's sons, shall put fire upon the altar and lay the wood in order upon the fire; and the sons of Aaron the priest shall put fire on the altar and arrange wood on the fire. The sons of Aaron the priest are to put fire on the altar and arrange wood on the fire.
8 And the priests, Aaron's sons, shall lay the parts, the head and the fat, in order upon the wood that is on the fire which is upon the altar; And Aaron’s sons the priests shall arrange the pieces, the head, and the fat, on the wood that is on the fire on the altar; Then Aaron’s sons the priests shall arrange the pieces, including the head and the fat, on the wood that is burning on the altar.
9 But its entrails and its legs he shall wash with water; and the priest shall burn all on the altar; it is a burnt offering, an offering of a sweet savour made by fire to the LORD. but its entrails and its legs he shall wash with water. And the priest shall burn all of it on the altar, as a burnt offering, a food offering with a pleasing aroma to the LORD. You are to wash the internal organs and the legs with water, and the priest is to burn all of it on the altar. It is a burnt offering, a food offering, an aroma pleasing to the LORD.
10 And if his offering be of the flocks, of the sheep or of the goats, for a burnt sacrifice, he shall offer a male without blemish. “If his gift for a burnt offering is from the flock, from the sheep or goats, he shall bring a male without blemish, “’If the offering is a burnt offering from the flock, from either the sheep or the goats, you are to offer a male without defect.
11 And he shall kill it on the north side of the altar before the LORD; and the priests, Aaron's sons, shall sprinkle its blood round about upon the altar. and he shall kill it on the north side of the altar before the LORD, and Aaron’s sons the priests shall throw its blood against the sides of the altar. You are to slaughter it at the north side of the altar before the LORD, and Aaron’s sons the priests shall splash its blood against the sides of the altar.
12 And he shall cut it into pieces, with its head and its fat; and the priest shall lay them in order on the wood, that is on the fire, which is upon the altar; And he shall cut it into pieces, with its head and its fat, and the priest shall arrange them on the wood that is on the fire on the altar, You are to cut it into pieces, and the priest shall arrange them, including the head and the fat, on the wood that is burning on the altar.
13 But he shall wash the entrails and the legs with water; and the priest shall offer it all and burn it upon the altar; it is a burnt sacrifice, an offering made by fire, a sweet savour to the LORD. but the entrails and the legs he shall wash with water. And the priest shall offer all of it and burn it on the altar; it is a burnt offering, a food offering with a pleasing aroma to the LORD. 14 And if the burnt sacrifice for his offering to the LORD be of fowls, then he shall bring his offering of turtledoves or of young pigeons. “If his offering to the LORD is a burnt offering of birds, then he shall bring his offering of turtledoves or pigeons. “’If the offering to the LORD is a burnt offering of birds, you are to offer a dove or a young pigeon.
15 And the priest shall bring it to the altar, and wring off its head and burn it on the altar; and its blood shall be wrung out at the side of the altar round about; And the priest shall bring it to the altar and wring off its head and burn it on the altar. 16 And he shall pluck away its crop with its feathers, and cast it beside the altar on the east side in the place of the ashes; He shall remove its crop with its contents and cast it beside the altar on the east side, in the place for ashes. 17 And he shall cleave it between its wings, but shall not divide it asunder; and the priest shall burn it upon the altar, upon the wood that is upon the fire; it is a burnt sacrifice, an offering made by fire, a sweet savour to the LORD. He shall tear it open by its wings, but shall not sever it completely. And the priest shall burn it on the altar, on the wood that is on the fire. It is a burnt offering, a food offering with a pleasing aroma to the LORD. He shall tear it open by the wings, not dividing it completely, and then the priest shall burn it on the wood that is burning on the altar. It is a burnt offering, a food offering, an aroma pleasing to the LORD.
